  • Current account deficit (CAD) is likely to be 2.5 percent of GDP
  • In fiscal year 19 fiscal deficit was brought down to 3.4%.
  • Inflation dropped to 2.19% in December 2018
  • Capital expenditure for FY13 is Rs 3.36 lakh crore
  • 27.84 lakh crore fixed for fiscal year 2015


  • Full tax rebate for personal taxpayers having income up to Rs 5 lakhs

  • Most of the daily use items fall under 0-5% tax slabs.

  • Mega pension scheme
  • For social security coverage of unorganized workers, the government introduced the Mega Pension Scheme, Prime Minister Yogi Manthan. Unorganized workers will receive the 3,000 per month, after the age of 60, pensioners will have to contribute 100 rupees per month and the government will contribute equally to pension accounts under this scheme.

  • Two percent interest subsidy will be given to farmers involved in animal husbandry activities through Kisan Credit Card Scheme.

  • Center will implement special strategies for the upliftment of nomades
